Denmark and the 1954-Convention

The project undertook a systematic assessment of the Danish implementation of the 1954 Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict, which Denmark ratified in 2003.

The findings of the project led the Danish authorities to restart work on implementing the 1954-Convention as well as restarting the cross-ministerial working group tasked with working towards a ratification of Second Protocol to the 1954-Convention.

Denmark ratified the Second Protocol in 2018. Read more about the ratification here
